REDDI TO "LEARN TO LET GO"

Reddi and I have gotten her latest EP "Learn to Let Go" in a great place and we're really happy with the way it's turned out. I finished the mixes for the 3 song EP in the end of May and it's just been mastered today by our golden ear'd friend Nathan James of The Vault Mastering Studios in NYC. Also in the works in it's final stages of development is the cover artwork. We're extremely happy to have an original painting created by long time friend and talented NYC artist Kimberly Anthony for the cover itself. We are also lucky to have close friend and advertising award winning Denis Lirette of Toronto retro-electro shoegazer duo "Les Gauches" doing the art direction and design for the EP. The record will be available soon on iTunes, Amazon and more come this July.

Cheers!

"PERFECT" FOR LIPSTICK JUNGLE

Reddi and I have recently gotten news that our song "Perfect" is being featured in a montage on NBC's Lipstick Jungle this coming Friday, December 12th, 2008 at 9PM. We're crazy excited about the placement and look forward to seeing Episode 211 when it airs.
For those of you who don't know, Reddi is a singer songwriter hailing from out of Brooklyn. "Perfect" is part of a 6 song EP titled "Single" that Reddi and I wrote and recorded late 2006 in NYC and is the follow up to our first collaborative effort, a 5 song EP self-titled "Reddi". Reddi took the opportunity to flex her talent, skills and personality last Saturday night, December 6th, 2008 on WMSC 90.3 FM, where she performed acoustic versions of some of her material and even delighted listeners with a new song. The podcast from that show is soon to come. The song aired and we're happy to say it was an excellent fit for the montage in the show. Download the song here.

Peace.

BROOKLYN AND THE T-DOT RECONNECT

Although Neil continues to turn out his brand of music, the relocation Toronto late in 2006 for a change in scenery has slowed down collaboration with writing partners and artists he left in his old stomping grounds. One of those artists is Reddi hailing out of NYC.
With the placement and hopefully ongoing success of the single "Perfect", Cabana and Reddi have made plans to work together in the beginning of the new year to turn out new material for Reddi, as well as other artists. Once again, this is an opportunity to re-explore and further define the style of material they want to make. It's an exciting time for both of them and they're looking forward to making some music once again.

AGENT BLAK AND VIRACHOCA COLLABO

That's right. After being partners in crime since back in the days of Kindred Minds, Agent Blak and Virachoca are back at it. The communication and sharing of sick tracks and bangin' beats has never ceased, but now they're working on a new project that brings the style of Hip Hop they and so many other peeps love to the table with the vision of a classic in the making. Not too much can be reported just yet, since planning is still in development and alliances are being called on to make this as amazing as humanly possible.
Peep the beats here on the Dog and King music player under the working album title, "Virus 2" and help Agent Blak and Virachoca decide which beats will be the sickest with what MC's!

DAISY RICOCHET'S "INAMORATA" TO BE REMIXED AND RELEASED 2009

At the end of 2006, when the last lineup of DR split due to personal issues, DR had mixed and completed 8 out of near 20 tunes, but never had any type of formal release due to Pink Lady Records completely running out of money. Those who have heard "Inamorata" have only had great things to say and await it's formal release. Continued placements (DR's "Need" is still on MTV plus XM Radio) and countless online radio stations) and some new ones in the works (Reddi on NBC's Lipstick Jungle December 12th at 9PM) have kept things rolling nicely and have enabled some focus on DR. What this means for DR fans is that Neil will be revisiting the 8 mixes to make sure they are sonically sound/broadcast ready and released as the first of a two part effort in digital format for all to enjoy. Until then, a few of them will be available here for listening only in their current form.

The list of songs on the first part of the release will include:

1.Stay
2.Kill the Radio
3.Lost Here Without You
4.My Drug
5.Last Words
6.No Welcome Home
7.Because of Me
8.Alone

For the second half of the release, Neil doesn't forsee all of the other 12 songs making it into the "cut", but recently listening, there are at least 6 more tunes from those sessions that will compliment the current batch nicely. It's looking like those tunes will be available in the second half of 2009.
In regards to live performances from DR in the new year, they will likely be far and few. Although, Cabana has outlet's for solo shows in Toronto and elsewhere, he is focusing more on publishing these days, That being said, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of refreshing the DR lineup and supporting the new album. But for now, DR on Myspace will be it's main online presence until the decision is made to keep or eliminate it's mother ship site.

VICTOR VEROS AND VIRACHOCA MELD MINDS

For those who don't know, Toronto has a lot to offer when it comes to true talent and it comes without BS attitudes. One example of this is the recent melding of minds between T-Dots Victor Veros and Dog and King's own Virachoca. The partnership is in it's infancy at best, but the gears are in motion. This combination of sensibilites is anticipated to create something totally unique of individual taste and style. These efforts will be available from Film to commercials and in between. Stay tuned for tracks in the new year from this potent combo.
